I’m Jewel Bostick, a creator, healer, and visionary behind Jewelmariebeauties. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, I left in 2012 to live in Montgomery, Alabama, before returning home in 2019 with a renewed purpose. My journey has always been about more than nails; it’s about resilience, transformation, and turning personal healing into artistry that inspires others.

 

I remember being a little girl, fascinated by beauty, yet misunderstood. I wanted my nails done, but because of nail-biting, I was turned away. It didn’t sit right with me. So I improvised, using store-bought press-ons, painting them at home, and eventually discovering acrylics. That first set in the car was the beginning of a journey that would one day take me to Montgomery, where limits didn’t exist and my name began to shine.

 

Art was always a part of me, woven into the fabric of my childhood through Caribbean parades, stepping, symphony band, and marching band. Through creating, I found a confidence I never knew I had. The little girl who once felt anxious, misunderstood, and self-conscious began to emerge as a woman whose light could not be dimmed.

 

What began as a way to break my own habits at age 11 grew into a lifelong passion. By high school, I was already servicing clients, known for my originality, authenticity, and skill. Today, I specialize in acrylic nails with flawless structure, custom designs, and statement sets, but my chair has always been more than just a place for beauty. It’s a safe space for confidence, self-expression, and healing.

 

Adulthood brought trials, surviving abuse, navigating motherhood, and the noise of the world. But dancing moved me, social media became a tool for healing, and art became my sanctuary. I sought therapy, leaned into my growth, and rose from the concrete of my past, not because I was broken, but because I refused to be defined by it.

 

Through my suite, my content, and my future nonprofit, my mission is to use creativity as a tool for empowerment. I believe beauty is not just seen, it’s felt. My courage isn’t just for me; it’s for anyone who feels lost, silenced, or unseen. Through creation, I transform pain into beauty, storms into dance, and struggle into light. My goal is to leave every client and every project with more than a look, but a lasting impact.

 

Through it all, I found peace , a blessing in disguise. This is who I am. This is why I create.
